A Story part 1

"The Chaser had been born before her eyes. Twisted and shattered. The small Watcher gripped the bark of the Rooted wildly. Desperate to get closer. Terrified to do so. Her insignificant voice failed as she tried to protest the Tempter's abuse. She felt so pathetic.

Nearby, two wandering Faceless spoke to each other in hushed tones. They whispered of the Chaser's flaws and how times have changed. They said nothing of the Tempter who held it down physically and verbally. This was not their problem.

The Rooted which she clung to had a mighty, ancient voice. But only she could hear it. The Tempter ignored it as it would the simple buzzing of an angry fly.

She noticed a small Unseen, rustling indignently. But not even her highly perceptive ears could make out what it was saying.

The Tempter was to blame, and still it used the gift of its pure voice to create this pitiful creature.

Poor thing.

Poor wretched thing."
